This is where I share my ideas, inspiration & thoughts. Generally though I'm just the Creator of Rockstar Awesomeness and this tumblog is further proof of that.

In the last couple of months, I’ve really been trying to revolutionize my life on all fronts and I’ve definitely been feeling the benefits thereof (emotionally, mentally & physically), whilst my business successes speak for themselves (said in a very humble way).
So in this episode, I suggest 5 ways which will help you identify the Happier Rockstar within yourself. Note that whilst I use the “rockstar” reference, this whole excercise won’t mean anything unless you actually make it your own. It’s not about replicating what I’ve done (or what others have done), but instead about learning from those experiences and then going on your own revolutionary journey.
In this episode a talk a little about why I’ve created RockstarTV and what my aims are with this venture. I also explain that whilst I may look great on camera (heh); I’m definitely no actor and I didn’t go to drama school.
So with this you can expect a very DIY, authentic and natural approach to all future RockstarTV episodes. You will never see a scripted and / or produced approach in these videos.
Lastly, I also announce that the tech for RockstarTV has been upgraded and my new camera is arriving next week.
Don’t know if you’ve noticed recently, but unique isn’t a word that you use often these days when describing products, services or even (and more importantly!) other people. I’m generally really annoyed that Western culture has turned into a factory that’s manufacturing replica’s and cliches.
I’m sure that the general consensus would be that being unique, special and different are all desirable characteristics, yet we make it so darn difficult for other individuals to differ from the norm. I’ve found time and time again, that it’s much easier not to ruffle the generally-accepted feathers by trying to be unique, because people don’t like their views & process to be challenged.
This is even more true within business environments, where employers prefer robots and business partners prefer peasants. It’s about control and it’s about being afraid of stepping out of the comfort zones that’s been established through years of routine. (more…)
So this is the very first episode on my newly launched video blog, Rockstar TV.
In this (short) episode I basically talk about my motivation for starting this show, where I got the inspiration from , how this affects my written blog at adii.co.za and how this will progress in future.
So this is very much an introductory episode and the “real” content will only come to the fore in the upcoming episodes. I do however hope that this at least intrigues you enough to settle back in for Episode 2…

Whilst I’ve been writing draft chapters for my upcoming book – which is totally built around this “Rockstar” concept – I’ve been asking myself whether I’m actually qualified to write a book preaching good lifestyle & business choices. I know that supposed self-doubt is not generally something that you would associate with my persona, but I think it is worth me asking these questions…
The thing is, that until now I’ve been rather successful and had a pretty “smooth” road in establishing my two businesses. I wouldn’t label say that I’ve been lucky in any way, but I have been very blessed. But being successful isn’t really the question here…
My question is: Is it easier to promote this “rockstar” way of doing business when one is successful? Or can one only validate these theories once you can show that they work in both good and bad times?
About 6 months I realized that I was working away my life… I was working from home and pulling 18 hour days in which I was neglecting my personal & social life. Beyond the impact that this had on my health (physical & emotional), I was also influencing the people around me (those that are most important to me) in a really bad way.
So I reached a stage last year, where I e-mailed all of my clients and simply postponed ALL of my work for a week. During that week, I chilled out, read a few books that I had been wanting to read and there and then I decided to implement some processes which would allow me to transform my life in the medium term.
I think my reasons for wanting to change my life around is quite obvious and the benefits even more reason for pursuing this “revolution”. Thing is, irrespective of my business / career success, I was not happy as a person (i.e. when you put your head down on the pillow and the world around you shuts down; you need to be content with yourself). So here’s how I have turned things around: (more…)
If you follow me online, you’d know that I’ve never been afraid of promoting and building my own personal brand. Considering that I’ve managed to dub myself as first the WordPress Rockstar and now just as Adii Rockstar, I think I’ve been rather successful with this approach.
More recently (as in yesterday) I even hired a photographer to do a photo shoot with me, because I needed some professional and trendy photos of myself to further build this rockstar image online. Photo shoots are generally associated with celebrities (which I’m most definitely not), but who am I then do decide that the world needs to see photos of me!?
So is this all an act of being arrogant and boosting my own ego? Or might there just be some rationale (business) motives behind all of this rockstar awesomeness? Let me explain… (more…)
As part of this new journey that I’m undertaking, it is important for me to move away from the “WordPress Rockstar” tag which I’ve attached to my online activities in the past. So instead of dropping the “rockstar” naming convention, I’d like to market myself as a rockstar in the things I’m really passionate about: business, strategy & being an entrepreneur.
One aspect of my plans in this regard, includes my newly purchased rockstarbusiness.com domain, which I’ll be putting to use in the coming months. You would’ve noted that my posts here have taken a much more business-focused approach and this is all in preparation for the plans I have for this new domain. (more…)
Yes – you don’t need to look twice; this is a new design and there’s only one post (this one) for now. It’s not April either, so none of those lame kinda jokes associated with that month…
Rebooting this blog completely (i.e. not only on the surface) became the obvious choice during the last few weeks, as my previous blog (which is archived as V1 here) didn’t inspire me anymore. This resulted in my not blogging since 27 December last year, which is ridiculous. So this reboot is a re-structuring, re-purposing, re-aligning and most of the other words that you can attach “re-” to… Beyond the words, this is the start of a completely new direction for Adii Rockstar.
The only constants around here, is the fact that I’m still Adii *Rockstar* and if you’re subscribed to the RSS feed, you don’t need to resubscribe! You can also expect one or two bugs around here, whilst we get the system back up to full steam.
