In the last couple of months, I’ve really been trying to revolutionize my life on all fronts and I’ve definitely been feeling the benefits thereof (emotionally, mentally & physically), whilst my business successes speak for themselves (said in a very humble way).
So in this episode, I suggest 5 ways which will help you identify the Happier Rockstar within yourself. Note that whilst I use the “rockstar” reference, this whole excercise won’t mean anything unless you actually make it your own. It’s not about replicating what I’ve done (or what others have done), but instead about learning from those experiences and then going on your own revolutionary journey.
Like the flavor of the episode! Trick is “making it your own” and not not postponing it until you think all the circumstances are right (eg you have enough money or time etc) to start planning, thinking and considering these things.
4 day work week sounds like great way to get this going!
thanks for the tips.
Its so true. When you know who you are your purpose becomes more clear. Its important to step back every so often to reevaluate our goals, dreams and visions. We are such a fast moving society, its hard to stop all the distractions and recharge, but its better for us in the long run. And it takes someone to stand up and swim against the stream ; ) .
Well said! Sometimes it is so much easier said than done, but it so important to take the time to reevaluate things in your life. I’ve been busy working on this recently myself. I realised I let my photography slide and my personal life suffer because I overworked myself for my company. I’ve now set strict work hours and given myself the weekends back. I’m still finding it hard as I feel I used to define myself by being a hard-worker, ambitious etc. I had to own up to some severe faults of mine and work towards eliminating those, finding balance and setting new goals.
And yes, most importantly you need to make it your own! No one can pave the way for you since no one else knows the direction you need to head in but you. I think mostly, people need to realise that it all takes time and effort. There is no easy shortcut.
Note the big jacket, it’s cold in Cape Town!
Being quite to the world allows you to hear yourself better. word son, strong tips
