We should definitely connect because my wife and I have our own Canadian Charity called World Teacher Aid (www.worldteacheraid.org).

Basically we fund the full-time salary of teachers in rural third world communities throughout Africa (primarily Kenya, Uganda and Ghana).

Better Education = Better Knowledge = Better Decision Making Abilities = a Better Future. It is undeniable that gender equality issues are still very prevalent in especially the rural and less fortunate communities. Raising strong, intellectual and self confident young women is the foundation to having a succesful and balanced generation with a bright future. I can't wait for the Rockstar Foundation to get up and running! It's an amazingly unselfish idea and I feel honoured to be a part of this. Giving back (be it time, money, ideas) is what keeps us as human beings grounded. Better Education = Better Knowledge = Better Decision Making Abilities = a Better Future. Girls, especially disadvantaged girls, tend to be left with the responsibility of raising their siblings and will most likely become a mother at some point. I'm looking forward to visiting Sth Africa next year on my way to Zambia. In real terms it only costs a few dollars per month to educate and provide health care and a meal a day to a child in Africa. If you need any advice let me know.
