This is where I share my ideas, inspiration & thoughts. Generally though I'm just the Creator of Rockstar Awesomeness and this tumblog is further proof of that.

As part of this new journey that I’m undertaking, it is important for me to move away from the “WordPress Rockstar” tag which I’ve attached to my online activities in the past. So instead of dropping the “rockstar” naming convention, I’d like to market myself as a rockstar in the things I’m really passionate about: business, strategy & being an entrepreneur.
One aspect of my plans in this regard, includes my newly purchased rockstarbusiness.com domain, which I’ll be putting to use in the coming months. You would’ve noted that my posts here have taken a much more business-focused approach and this is all in preparation for the plans I have for this new domain.
Since this is very much a new direction for me (focusing on publishing business-related posts), I hope that you will continue to engage me in discussion relating to these new posts, as your input will definitely improve & influence the ultimate result, which will end up on rockstarbusiness.com.

Sounds good Adii, I seem to be the first one to comment on all your posts today for some reason? I guess I just catch you tweeting at the right time!
Will be very interested to read about your business moves and strategies as I followed your blog quite closely last year leading up to the decision to leave my job and become full time self employed myself a few weeks ago!
Looking forward to reading more
Yes definitely Rockstar image has been a hit for your online business marketing so having such domain will be a added advantage for the progress of you business. i wish good luck for you!
Absolutely! I just tweeted this to you as well, but in answer to your twitter status – my biggest unanswered biz-related question at the moment is: what does it actually TAKE to move past being a 1 man band working from home, to opening a studio and employing people? I mean sure I know the basics, get some clients, make some profit, re-invest etc – but how do you know whent the time is right? What sort of cash reserve do you build up beforehand? What points should you “check off the list” before making the NEXT leap of faith and taking on big full time overheads to grow the business?
Would love to hear your thoughts!
Looking forward to reading / discussing more business related issues – passion for business far supersedes my passion for web/development issues.
Without the business passion, even great design/code won’t sell.
Will watch this space
Well, I guess I am the only one who isn’t that excited about this.
Actually, I am excited just not how you might have thought. I mean I don’t want to sound negative or anything but I admired you guys for all things Wordpress and now your jumping ship on me when things seemed to just start really getting good.
So..crap, just crap…….
Okay, okay sorry, I guess that was out of line, I guess I am looking forward to this new side of the Rockstar too but, it’s not going to be easy.
Having your own image doesn’t seem bad. You just have it stand out as what you want to be and be a rockstar of your own.
My fellow on Orkut shared this link with me and I’m not dissapointed at all that I came to your blog.
Adii,
I had read a lot about Woo Themes but did not know about you as a person and your personality till I subscribed to your field.
You are an inspiration for me and I know for many more who want to pursue their passion but are afraid to do so. It is people like you who give us the confidence to get going in the field we are passionate about.
Great to hear that I have at least somewhat inspired you!
Quiting my job exactly 12 months ago (today) is the best decision I ever made and I haven’t looked back since. I hope to be a valuable resource for you in the future as well!
Most definitely; the new domain will just further fuel my marketing efforts relating to creating this Rockstar brand.
I think your questions probably warrant a full-on blog post, but I’ll try keep it simple & short… When I set up Radiiate’s offices, I had made enough money already to invest into the offices, without having to borrow anything (I like to call this debt-free, organic growth).
Secondly, I only employed some team members full-time, when I was 100% sure that there was enough work coming my way to justify their appointment (prior to that I was outsourcing my work when it was needed).
Think you and I have the same mindset in this regard! I love design, development and everything else I do online, but ultimately the business application of all of these is where my ultimate passion is. So I’m definitely excited about taking this passion forward and seeing it growing / evolving.
I don’t think you’re online in this opinion and maybe there should be a bigger balance between where I want to go with the blog. So I can assure you that I’ll still blog about WordPress and design; the stronger focus will however have a more “general” / mainstream business focus.
